PATHOLOGY DATA

  
Location: Lesser curvature.  
   
Gross findings:

Lesion at the lesser curvature, measures 3 cm x 3 cm in diameter.

Cut section is soft, white, dirty and hemorrhagic.
   
Microscopic findings: Biopsy shows malignant columnar cells arranged in glands invading into the muscle. The malignant cells have clear cytoplasm with vacuoles. There is evidence of mucinous secretion. Nuclei are irregular with large nucleoli. The malignant cells have invaded the gastric wall.
