Microscopic findings: | Tissue sections show proliferation of malignant glands. Epithelial cells have small, basophilic, irregular nuclei and abundant cytoplasm. Cytoplasm contains muscin. The tumor cells arranged in glands and were floated in the mucin pools. Mitotic figures are not evident. The tumor cells invaded the muscularis propria. The stroma is infiltrated by large numbers of inflammatory cells. Tumor necrosis and blood vessel invasion are not revealed. Lymph nodes show positive. |
