Microscopic findings: | Tissue sections show normal proliferation of malignant round or oval cell populations. The neoplastic cells have round, irregular, basophilic nuclei and scanty cytoplasm. Nuclear chromatin is coarse and prominent nuclei. Mitotic figures are abundant. The tumor cells diffusely arranged. The stroma is desmoplastic. Necrosis is seen. | |||||||||||||||||||
